Rates and Policies

I provide a free 15-minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions to see if I can assist you in achieving your goals. Click on Contact to let me know the best time to call to schedule this initial session.

Sessions cost between $150-$200, depending on what services are offered (assessments, couples therapy, individual/family sessions, etc.) and the duration of the service. I do offer an adjustment for same-day credit/debit payments of $125. You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) from Hope Mountain Counseling. As part of the No Surprises Act, a GFE shows the costs of items and services that would be reasonably expected for your specific health care needs.

Payment is due at the time of rendering services before the therapy session. I primarily accept payment via Ivy Pay (HIPAA-secure). Arrangements can be made with me if you need to pay by cash or check with a local address.

In-Network Clients

Hope Mountain Counseling bills most insurance companies. Most typically, copayment is due at the time services are rendered and then your insurance is billed for the rest. If you do not have insurance or have concerns about your insurance’s involvement in your treatment (i.e., having your diagnosis and type treatment received disclosed to your company), I offer an adjusted same-day payment.

Here is a checklist to have handy as you connect with your insurance company:

  • Is Jeannie Campbell, LMFT, in-network or out-of-network for your insurance?
  • Do you have a deductible for mental health services?
  • How much of your deductible has been met?
  • When does your plan renew?
  • What is your copay or co-insurance responsibility?
  • What services does your insurance cover?
  • Are any limits on your mental health benefits?

Out-of-Network Clients

My out-of-network insurance process works by collecting the out-of-pocket fee at the time of each session, then providing you with a monthly superbill (paperwork documenting services rendered) to submit to your insurance. Your insurance will send you the reimbursement percentage of the session they cover directly to you. Reimbursement rates vary greatly between insurance companies and plans, but most insurances reimburse 50-70% of the cost of counseling sessions after your deductible is met. For clients in California, this is the only accepted process.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

I have a 24-hour cancelation policy in place, because when you do not call to cancel your appointment in a timely manner, you prevent another client from receiving services. I do not charge a fee for the first time this happens, because I realize emergencies come up, but for subsequent late cancels/no shows I charge my full rate of $125. Insurance will not cover this fee.

Confidentiality and Privacy Policy

Communication between a therapist and client is “privileged,” meaning that what we discuss is protected by law. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If you are a threat to yourself or others, if elder and child abuse is suspected or has occurred, or if your health is in immediate jeopardy, the law also requires me to break confidentiality as a mandated reporter. While this doesn’t happen often, it’s important to know your rights.
